My Blog
So...it’s Sunday. The end of a 3-day weekend in which our plans generally included grilling with a neighbor on Friday and...well, that was about it. What have I to show for my three days of laze? Nothing.
I have read a lot, but have not written a word. Well, save for those written in this blog - which I am utterly certain nobody but me ever reads. But, there you go. So, if nobody reads it, why write? Well, the way I look at it, someday when I am a famous <cough> paid writer on a show, somebody might care. Or not.
I did, in fact, finish the spec script I set out to do (see blog from a few weeks back). It is registered with the WGA and as we speak...er, read...it is being reviewed, along with zillions of others, I am certain, for one of the ‘new talent’ development programs. What will come of it? Who knows.
I have another idea in the works, but this time it’s purely spec...it’s for a new Star Trek series. I have the main premise mapped, the characters roughed in, and the pilot is growing in my head. I’ve talked it out with family and friends, taken their critiques, and it’s growing. We’ll see.
The picture above is of the Beastie - aka Charlie. He knows when I can’t write and makes it his mission to interrupt me as much as possible. In this case you can probably tell that I am not writing, but in fact on one forum or another. ::sigh:: Procrastination is a wonderful thing. I was reading somebody’s blog the other day (I read a lot of writer’s blogs) and one of them said how they don’t like to write, but they love to read what they’ve written. I get that.
Okay, I’ve updated my blog, posted a copy on my ridiculous myspace page, and am now ready to get to it. Wonder what’s on television right now?
